WP Video Lightbox Doesn’t pop-up on Mobile

  • I used WP video Lightbox to make a video pop-up on my website when someone clicks ‘play video’ on the menu section without taking the user off my site to youtube. To do that, I used the code ‘wp-video-lightbox’ in the ‘link relationship (XFN)’ field in the menus section.

    2. So the video is successfully popping up via desktop on my site, but for some reason, when I test it across two different mobile phones (LG and Apple), WP video lightbox doesn’t pop-up the video in the site on the mobile version, instead it takes the video (and the user) to youtube.

    Question: What do I need to do so that when someone clicks ‘Play Video’ on the mobile version, it opens the video on my site as opposed to youtube?

    Does WP Lightbox Video even work for mobile???

    Hello,

    All I used was ‘wp-video-lightbox’ in the ‘link relationship (XFN)’ field in the menus section to make that video pop-up the way it does.

    I downloaded the plugin, customized how I wanted it in settings and then went to menus section and added the ‘wp-video-lightbox in link relationship for it to be responsive with the ‘Play Video’ menu button.

    I added no other code or anything besides this.

    Hi, that is probably why it might not work. Please read the following pdf documentation. This will show you how this plugin uses rel=”wp-video-lightbox” in the code.
