Hi Jordy, I have the newest version of WP (5.5), but I read that the plugin works only up to version 5.4.2.

I presume this is why I can’t fill in the API details (it says “false” and it doesn’t let me input anything).

Could you please tell me if there will be an update of the plugin any time soon, which would be compatible with WP 5.5?

    Thank you!
    Ioana

    Hi @missredfox,

Indeed, I noticed that issue as well. I just fixed it today and released a new version. Please give it a try ??

Thank you Jordy for the fast update, it worked! ??

However, it couldn’t upload a lot of my blog photos to Copytrack. I suppose they had not the required size for Copytrack. Is there somewhere that I can see which photos they are, so I can change the size and upload them manually? Thanks!

Have you checked your Console Logs? You can visit your Media Library, start the upload for a specific file, and check your Console Logs to see what happens, and what the reply from Copytrack is.

Ah, ok, I see them now. The info about “uploaded” or not is only available if I show my media as a list, not as a grid.

The error it shows me for the not uploaded pictures is “Cannot access the file remotely. Is your file accessible via Internet?” – all my files should actually be accessible and I uploaded all to my blog the same, regular way.

    Any idea? Thank you!

Oh, then I don’t now ?? I am not exactly related to Copytrack, and this error comes from them. Normally, that means the image is really not accessible.

Could you try contact their support, mentioning your are using this plugin (they know about it), that you are getting this error, and maybe the URL of the image? I think they would know ??

Also, don’t hesitate to share the URL to your image here, I might have an idea too.

I will ask them, thank you! ??

Here are some examples that don’t work:

    https://missredfox.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/DSC9380.jpg

(there are actually more than 3000 pictures out of about 6500 that couldn’t be uploaded – probably same error all over).

In fact, those files are not accessible from the outside ?? So that’s why you are getting an error.

That’s strange. I can see them even if I’m not logged in as an admin (cache & cookies are deleted first)… What would I have to do for them to be accessible? I’m not a developer, so I almost don’t know anything about codes, PHP etc. My blog was set by one, I’m only the user. Sorry for all the questions!

Unfortunately, I have no idea what’s going on ?? It might be the permissions, but I am not sure. You would need to ask your hosting service for help, or your developer if you have one.

No problem, I will ask my developer, thank you for your help!

    Hi Jordy, just an update:

my developer couldn’t find anything strange / different with the pictures which couldn’t be uploaded.

But then I tried to upload them one by one by hand to Copytrack and the problem was quite ordinary: the size of the pictures must be at least 600 px on each side. And these pictures of mine were smaller on one side. So it doesn’t have something to do with permissions or accessibility, just with the side.

So this is a requirement of Copytrack when uploading otherwise it won’t work. Nothing more.

    Have a good day! ??

I should really update the error message then, in this case. Thanks for letting me know ??
