Hi I’m using WP User Avatar to override gravitar. When I create a frontend “update user” form there is no profile picture update field. Is there a solution to this? I am also using ACF, is there a way to map a field the user profile picture?

    Thank you, Adam.

Go into your Dashboard and under “Genral Settings” at the bottom, you will see an option called “local avatar”

Choose your ACF image field under the dropdown

That doesn’t work. The admin Gravitar is now being displayed where the author profile image should be.

    Hello Adam

    Thank you for your patience!

It seems to me that Elementor pulls in the gravatar on the frontend regardless of whether or not it has been overwritten by a local avatar like ACF Frontend does.

The only solution I see is to add a special dynamic tag that will display the user’s local Avatar. I’ll try to add that by next week

@adamb83 did you find another solution? I’m trying to do the same thing.

Here is an early release of 2.5.10 (free version) which adds a special dynamic tag for displaying the user or author local avatar: Version 2.5.10

It requires Elementor Pro. Good luck!
