• Hi there,

I am building a new site using a Child Theme, I am not very technical but have had a crack at putting together my e-commerce site. Things are starting to slot into place but it current does not show properly on an iPhone.

I am aware the theme is responsive and it actually moves the various elements around really well, the top logo and social icons in the header are perfect but you can see that there is a clear white space down the right hand side on the iPhone.

It’s kind of hard to explain it and the best way is to view my site on a normal screen and then on a iPhone and you will see exactly what I mean:

I am sure it is nothing more than some coding that needs to be added and/or amended but I am no where near as intelligent as many of you guys on here and would be so appreciative of any help.

Thank you so much in advance

    Rich

  • Have you done any positional CSS already? Should move elements around pretty well. I can only zoom in to see what it might look like on an iphone but don’t see the white space.

BUT this theme does not handle sub pages well in the collapse event. it just list them all witch is ulgy. I just helped somone with this problem and they opted to go with a theme that handles it better and that saved a lot of headache with trying to make it work.

    Hi Adrian

Thanks for replying. I don’t think I have done any positional CSS and if I have Im not sure what that is lol sorry I’m a bit WP dumb.

Its funny that the white space only shows on the iPhone as iPads and tablets are all fine. The actual arrangement that it has shuffled around in looks fine. The home page is a bit busy but the product pages look great, so as much as possible Im trying to avoid changing these.

    cheers again

Well then. We need someone with an Iphone to get in here. I’m not cool enough to have one, I have an android.
