• Hi i’d like to know where all my entries and pages are stored.
i have a blog using the wordpress software and would like to copy it onto another domain/storage.
also I am using the trisexuality theme which i find very cool but complex to tweak for the super archive

anyhow if some could tell me where are my posts stored so that I upload them tp my new domain (if that’s how it works) i would appreciate

    thanks

  • Man you’re really into the Y thing :-).
All your content is saved in a MySQL database and you can extract all posts, comments and pages as one ( more or less ) big SQL-file containing all data and the necessary SCL commands for re-creating the database in another instance of MySQL.
You should be able to do the backup from within WordPress, using Skippys WP plugin https://www.skippy.net/blog/plugins/.

This requires that the backup directory in you WP installation exists and is writable by the web server – ask your service provider!

If this is not an option, you must be able to log in to your MySQL database and make a backup using some web based interface, usually phpMyAdmin – again ask your SP!

The Codex Database Description outlines the database containing your posts, options, categories, links, and users.

But, you probably just need to follow the instructions in Moving WordPress.
