WP to Twitter with Multisite

  • Hi, hoping you can help!

    I’m running multisite. I only want to post to twitter from one of the sites, but all the twitter plugins I’ve tried keep posting the blogs from both sites!

  • enable the twitter plugins just on ONE site. do not network activate it.

    I have, which is what’s confused me.

    The site that I don’t want posting to twitter is a subdomain of the original site; could that cause this problem?

    which twitter plugins have you tried as far as I know the two most popular ones work just fine.

    And are you feeding the posts from the sub blogs to the main site and then tweeting from the main site?

    “WP to Twitter” and “YOURLS: WordPress to Twitter”

    I’ve got the main site and then a subdomain for the mobile site.

    The blogs that I’m posting on the main site I want to be posted to twitter, but they’re also posting the links to the mobile site.

    that does not answer my question.

    Are you feeding the posts from the mobile site back to the main site? I mean, I’m assuming here that both sites have the same exact posts, right?

    Yeah both sites have the same posts.

    I write them on the main site then use ‘ThreeWP Broadcast’ to feed them to the mobile site.

    I don’t have WP to Twitter activated on the mobile site, but I have it activated and set up on the main site.

    i would expect the broadcast plugin is triggering the twitter plugin then.
