• Hi there

I have tried everything but nothing works and I keep getting the errors below:

WP to Twitter failed to connect with Twitter. Error: 32: Could not authenticate you.
Twitter requires authentication by OAuth. You will need to update your settings to complete installation of WP to Twitter.

When I look at the error on twitter it says is not their fault https://developer.twitter.com/en/support/twitter-api/error-troubleshooting

It also says “adjust the access permission to ‘Read, write, and direct messages'” while in the plugin you say that only read, write should be activated which I have. I have not changed it to the above as I do not want to play around with twitter.

    Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Thanks

    A

As long as your settings are for Read and write, you’re fine; but you can add direct messages – WP to Twitter won’t use them, but having that permission is unlikely to cause harm.

However, this error is probably something about how your site is setup. On the settings page, does the timestamp for your server show as matching the timestamp for Twitter?
