• I don’t realy know how to explain my whish/question but i’ll give it a try.

When i use the search function in the wp-table reloaded plugin, it gives back the rows where the specific word is written.

    Here’s the thing:
In Excel I have a schedule with people who have to do small jobs in our sportscanteen. When the jobs are done, they have to bring back a key of the canteen to a certain address. The schedule is devided per week. Each week there’s a different key address. This adress is given above each week, so each week has a different address.

    See for example

Is it possible for a person to search for his name and not only see the row in which the name is written, but also see the corresponding row with the address.

Hope it’s clear what my question is

  • Hi,

    thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, I don’t think that something like this can be achieved easily. Primarily, this is because it would require an extended functionality of the DataTables JavaScript library, which does the search in tables.
I’m not too familiar with the internals of that library or its API, so I’m not sure what it would take to implement such a feature.
Nevertheless, it would certainly require some serious programming, because by default the search only returns rows that do contain the search term. Your idea however would require two combined searches, where the second search term is the result of the first. Unfortunately, I have no idea on how one would start with this, sorry ??

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
