wp super cache – NFS document root
-
The documentation for the wp super cache plug-in says that
The cache folder cannot be put on an NFS or Samba or NAS share. It has to be on a local disk. File locking and deleting expired files will not work properly unless the cache folder is on the local machine.
However my website is set up such that my entire document root is an NFS mount to a file server (I’m using two web servers in haproxy configuration, PHP is running via FPM and both web servers NFS mount to the same document root on a separate file server). So the cache folder is on the same disk/server where my WordPress installation exists.
So in this scenario does the above note on the documentation page regarding NFS mounts apply?
