wp-stats/wordpress.com API Disappeared

  • Sorry to rehash a tired, old topic, but all previous threads on the issue are closed.

    I need my stats API to login to my shiny new WP7 WordPress App and see stats. I have a self-hosted install, but I knew to go to wordpress.com, login to my account, and get the API there.

    Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be there any more! Instead, all I could find was a link to askimet (which I guess is the same API, but it still feels funny to have to go there) to get it. Once at askimet, I just went round and round through their “sign up” pages, never finding a place to login to get my API.

    Any ideas? All web searches turn up the same info: “your API may be found at your wordpress.com account.” I knew that, but it no longer seems to be the case.
