I had WP Statistics installed as a plugin. On January 13 I updated the plugin. Since the update the plugin is not showing up on the plug-in list at all. I’ve tried to reinstall it but it’s telling me it failed because the destination folder already exists.

Can anyone help to get this plugin reinstalled?

It sounds like the upgrade failed for some reason, you’ll need to remove the old plugin directory manually, either through your hosting admin panel or an S/FTP client.

But if I delete and then re-install the plugin, all the past data (statistics) will be lost, right?

No, the statistical data is stored in the database, deleting the folder will not delete it.

I’ve performed a rename of old folder, then re-installed the plugin, but it didn’t solve the problem. Any other suggestions? I run WordPress 4.5.5 running Customizr Pro (1.2.39) theme.

Do you mean when you re-install WP says the folder already exists?

I’d suggest trying to manually install the plugin, download the zip file and FTP it up to your site and see if that resolves the issue.

No, I did not mean that. I did exactly what you describe.
Anyway, I found another older version of your plugin, from another site of ours, and copied the files into the problematic site (plugin folder), replacing the files of the latest version. This worked for me, at least partially (the graphics are not shown, but the raw data are retrieved and displayed correctly.

WP Statistics 11.0 and above requires PHP 5.4, if it has detected an older version of PHP installed it will active cleanly in WordPress but disable all functionality, you will have to upgrade to PHP 5.4 or above for it to function. WP Statistics will display an error at the top of your plugin list to let you know.
