Just for understanding: If I use a cache plugin, and the option “Use Cache Plugin” is checked, does WP Statistics use the mentioned WP-Statistics REST API endpoint (wpstatistics/v1)?

  • Hi Edi

    Yes,
wpstatistics/v1 endpoint is a POST Request.

That is nice, but if someone would tell us how to actually make the change to the REST API to support WP Statistics that would be great. I have WP Super Cache, I enabled the “Use Cache Plugin” option on the Setting page and walla, it no longer caches pages.

I get that message Here is an error associated with Connecting WordPress Rest API, Please Flushing rewrite rules or activate wp rest api for performance WP-Statistics Plugin Cache / Go Settings->Permalinks.

Oddly, when I disable the “Use Cache Plugin” option on the Setting page, it again counts page hits and statistics. Not sure why it wants me to enable this options, but if I do, it would be nice to tell me what to do on the Permalinks page or wherever I am suppose do make a change to enable the REST API connection.

Joining the request to clarify the setting:

    Use Cache Plugin: Yes
If you use WordPress Cache Plugins, enable this option.

To register WP-Statistics REST API endpoint ( wpstatistics/v1 ) , go to the Permalink page and update the permalink with press Save Changes.

Don't forget to clear your enabled plugin cache.

Do i have to enable this setting if caching plugins are used on hosting, wordpress?
Are minify/unify plugins’ caches included in WordPress Cache Plugins? (like Fast Velocity Minify

what’s the goal of wpstatistics/v1 rest endpoint?

I’d be happy if I just understood how
    To register WP-Statistics REST API endpoint ( wpstatistics/v1 )

I just need more info how to do this registration.

For now my Stats work by turning OFF the “Use Cache Plugin” option. Seems to work fine. So not sure why I need to enable this feature. But if I do, I could not find info on how to Register your REST IPI… other than what is in the parens above which does not tell me how to register it.
