    Hello,

I am currently in the process of exporting my static site to a .ZIP folder so I can use it for offline usage. It is at crawl_site #1700, it has taken almost 45minutes.. How long does it take? Currently I am doing this on my test site that you need to be connected to our VPN to view the site. Will the static site generator still work? THanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

So it says it finished after 56 minutes. But now where did the .zip folder get saved? Where can I find it? I am not sure how to download or save the .zip folder when the process completes.

    Thanks for any help

    Hi Jacob,

The next version is close to release and is a major rewrite, with options that may get your export down to 5 mins.

    VPN will be fine.

Please message me on our Slack group and I’ll share you the latest development build and assist you:

    Hi Leon,

Thanks for the reply. When do you expect the next version to be released?

Even though my export took 50 minutes, it still completed.. but i could not find the download link once it finished and it didn’t prompt me to click any links or save the downloaded .zip anywhere.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jacob,

Please try the latest 5_9 zip linked here:

    https://github.com/leonstafford/wordpress-static-html-plugin/releases/tag/latest_snapshot

Ensure that “Discover URLs” is checked under Crawl tab.

You may get under 5 mins export speed by adjusting the Crawl Increment setting under Advanced to maximum. If your server can’t handle that and export fails, bring it down to a lower number.

Keen to hear if this helps.

The Download Zip button appears at the lower part of the screen, it may just need scrolling down (poor UX I’ll improve).

    Cheers,

    Leon

I wish i could show you a screen shot after my site is crawled after 57 minutes. There is no link or download zip option anywhere on the screen after it runs. I am using Google Chrome as my web browser. WordPress version 4.9.8

I will try your new .zip package link you provided. and let you know after.

    thanks!
