    Hi there,

I have no idea what happened exactly and I do not have the skills to find out, but I do know that WP Spamshield was blocking orders and emails from my clients Woocommerce webshop.

    Best regards,

    Bas

    Hi Bas,

I’m sorry to hear you had this issue.

WP-SpamShield does not block WooCommerce orders, and in fact we’ve gone to great lengths to ensure support for WooCommerce. If you are having this issue, it’s likely there is a conflict specific to your site setup.

Please see the sticky post at the top of the forum: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING – Updated Jan 2017. (Or click on the support links on the plugin’s settings page in the WP Dashboard.)

If you follow those steps, we’ll be able to help you out. ??

Version 1.9.16 has been released, and has a compatibility fix for certain WooCommerce Payment Gateways.

This is really scary. We had a email go out to thousands of users with a link to our shop. We got a bunch of sales then someone told me they were getting an error trying to add a product to their cart.

ERROR: That action is currently not allowed.

I saw this thread and immediately disabled WP-Spamshield and they were able to buy. Now i’m left wondering how many sales we may have missed from other users getting the same error.

    Hi JiveDig,

I’m sorry to hear that you had an issue.

When you run an online store, it’s important to test functionality after installing new plugins.

Please see this from the plugin’s Installation Instructions:

If you are using an e-commerce plugin on your site, run a test transaction to make sure everything runs smoothly. If you have any issue with a payment gateway getting blocked, simply go to your WP-SpamShield settings and use the option “Disable anti-spam for miscellaneous forms”, and it will take care of the issue. (We have made every effort to whitelist all of these on major plugins, but in some rare occasions a problem will arise.) If you do have any issues, please submit a support request and we will be happy to help.

If you have any further issues, please direct all support requests to the plugin’s official support page and we will be happy to help.

Thanks Steven. We certainly tested multiple transactions on both available gateways (PayPal and Stripe) with no issues on different machines. I’m still not able to recreate the issue on any test environments. All we know now is that disabling the plugin fixed the issue for the customer in this instance.

You’re welcome. It’s not necessary to disable the plugin. As noted above:

If you have any issue with a payment gateway getting blocked, simply go to your WP-SpamShield settings and use the option “Disable anti-spam for miscellaneous forms”, and it will take care of the issue. (We have made every effort to whitelist all of these on major plugins, but in some rare occasions a problem will arise.)
