WP-SpamFree works well

  • I was surprised how hard it was to get a good spam filter for WordPress. I tried two other plug-ins that had massive download counts and 4.5 ratings before WP-SpamFree and was not happy with either. I had setup a wordpress blog for my 60 year old mom and she was deluged by 850 spam comments in one day. She was a bit flustered and called me at work. Today she can wake up to a spam free day. Thanks a lot for your work on this.

    Thanks WebGeek your plugin WP-spamfree is a must have plug-in for anyone trying to run a blog. I have been up and running for about 3 months now and just recently was beginning to get on average 200 comment spam. This was very frustrating then I set up WP-spamfree and now I am free of spam comments. A 5 star plug-in….thanks again.

    This plugin has worked extremely well for me over the past few months.

    I don’t have to go through that long list of comments (many 800 to 1000 words in length) caught by Akismet any more. I get a lot of these spam comments daily and they are all caught by WP-SpamFree. I don’t have to do a thing now to manage them.

    The fact that it also provides an easily set up contact form, eliminating the need for a separate plugin for that, is a bonus.

    Highly recommended!
