wp smush not work with some images

    hi,
    on my site I have about 50 images. Are all optimized except some. I click on “wp smush” appears “sending”, but nothing happens.
    I can press the “wp smush” button but nothing changes.

    The images weigh only 100kb.

    I also used “bulk smush now” all night. But nothing.

    Pictures are .jpg

    What could be the problem?

    Hi @juan7, @gustavolucas,

    Can you guys possibly check the Network tab in console for any error in there, when you are trying to smush the images.

    And if you see any, please post it in here, so that I can take a look at the issue.

    Hello,

    I have modified the file name and the image scaled from 960 to 540. I upload the image in wordpress wp smush and it worked!

    The problem is the image too big?

    Ok, i have tested other images. The problem is the size of the image. I reduce from 3900*2048 to 650*540 and it work!

    n.b. Images must be deleted from wordpress and ri-upload!

    @juan7, If the image is bigger than 1Mb, it’ll be skipped. Free version have a limit on image size.

    But if it’s less than a Mb, you shouldn’t be facing the issue, unless there is something else causing the trouble

    Yes, the image is under 1 Mb.
    however, no problem, I reduce the images. ??
