WP SMTP Keeps Disconnecting

    Hi there,

    I set up WP SMTP on this website; but, it keeps erroring out. We’ve re-established the connection at least 10 times. (and had successful test emails)

    Once we disconnect then reconnect gmail, it seems to work just fine again. But, obviously, it’s bad that it’s just randomly disconnecting.

    We aren’t changing the email password (that’s staying the same)– and we haven’t changed the google setup.

    Help ??

    Hi @mindfuladventurer,

    Thanks for reaching out! As we have investigated this issue further, we noticed that the Google API connection may break from time to time, if you’re using the “Test” mode on your Google App.

    When you get a chance, please head over to your Google App and publish it (see). Then remove your existing Gmail connection under the WP Mail SMTP -> Settings page and reconnect to it.
