WP SlimStat – incorrect collection of stats?

Hello,

I have noticed that using WP SlimStat, it seems to capture stats incorrectly. For example, it will capture more page views and resources in 1 click then actually visited. I could be wrong, but this is what I have noticed.

Let’s say you enter the site https://sandbox.pentaho.com/ upon entering the site it will capture the main entry “/” plus whatever pages or posts are loaded in the home page.

Now let’s say I click the Tutorials tab – if you view the stats it will not only show “that” resource was captured (the URL for tutorials), but it will also show other resource (urls) THAT HAVE NOT even been clicked on yet.

I have a real-time monitoring setup here (use IE or FireFox for best results) where you can test – please note I mask the IP address so it may not appear to be your IP.

Go here https://sandbox.pentaho.com/powered-by-pentaho/ look a the fusioncharts real-time strip chart graph. – wait a few mins – as you want the the line in the realtime chart – to be flat and on 0 page views.

Now In another browser or separate browser tab go to https://sandbox.pentaho.com/ then click on Tutorials once, it will load the tutorials page.

Now in the first browser with the real-time chart – (every 5 secs) you will notice points being added usually followed by a red line. if you click on the point it will open a drill down report that will show you the country, page, ip, etc. Notice that it shows pages (resources) that you have not even clicked on yet.

For example when i did it today – my click on the Tutorials tab brought me to: https://sandbox.pentaho.com/video-tutorials/

When I click on the point in the real-time chart to open the drilldown report, it showed that 1-installing-pentaho-3-6ga-enterprise-edition was also accessed when it was not.

Entry 2 is not – I did not even access that – why is it captured?
