• I am creating a site for a client using WordPress. He would like for his page to only be accessible through links placed on other websites, that he does not own. Is this possible?

The idea is that he is offering a specific line of products exclusively through certain business partners. For this reason, he does not want the site to be publicly accessible, but only through the promotion of his link on the websites of his business partners.

I know you can password restrict certain content, but this is not for his business partners to login, rather the customers would find this link on his partners’ websites then be routed to my client’s site, but would NOT be able to go back to this site just by typing the URL in their browser.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Just a quick idea – could you look at making the link from the other sites a form instead (you could use css to hide the fact its a form), that form would then post a variable to your clients site when a user clicks through, if that post variable isn’t present the site won’t load…
