I’m a complete newbie to WordPress and all this html/codey stuff. So forgive me if I sound like an idiot/don’t know what the hell I’m talking about.

I recently started up a multisite using subdomains not sub-directories. I followed the installation process word for word and was super careful about it.

I set up a second site dedicated to creating my site in a second language.
Funny thing is, the original English site doesn’t work, but the Japanese one does. (The English site being (www.)domain.com and the Japanese being jp.domain.com).

jp.domain.com works fine, but my original domain keeps redirecting to domain.com/wp-signup.php?new=domain.com

I don’t want users to be able to create their own sites, I just wanted to have the two separate sites dedicated to each language to reduce some the clutter of having both on the same site.

I’ve looked through the forums and been googling for days now trying to fix this and everything I’ve tried has not worked.

Using NOBLOGREDIRECT sends me to an error page that says “too many redirects/redirect loop”.

I have also set up domain mapping, but I’m not really sure that did anything…

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your main site https://www.domain.com, OR just domain.com?

Domain mapping is for when you want jp.domain.com to display (front and admin) as mytotallyotherdomain.com.

My main site should be just domain.com but is there any way I can check that for sure?

When you visit the front of your website, what is the url in the bar?
