I’m trying to use the WP Show Posts plugin as a portfolio to show my work the main site is dhawthorne.com and the wp show posts portion is dhawthorne.com/portfolio. I’ve tried a couple times but as soon as I put the [wp_show_posts id=”573″] shortcode in the body of a new page it messes up the page. I get a error page that says “We’ve happened upon a bit of a problem… [Beware of Sharks image] 500 (Internal Server) Error …that we’re working furiously to correct. Things will be up and running again soon. Thanks for your patience.”

What am I doing wrong? I’m using the shortcode the dropdown is getting me. Its weird it works if I use the pages instead of posts but errors out and becomes uneditable with posts selected.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

That’s strange – can you check your error_log file on your server? If you can’t locate it, your hosting support should be able to.

That log will give us a specific error so we know what’s going on.

    Let me know ??

Thanks Tom for the quick response. I think I figured out the issue, it doesn’t like my imported posts. I am trying to rebuild the website that I made in a sub folder of my website in my primary folder so it would work as intended. So as a short cut I exported the posts I’d made in the sub folder website and imported them into the new website. It didn’t like that. Its taking a little more time having to rebuild the posts but its working.
    Thanks.
