• Hi Tom,

The WP Show Posts plugin appears to be conflicting with the WPBakery page builder.

Once the WPbakery Page Builder plugin is activited, the “taxonomy” field of the WP Show Posts plugin cannot be selected rendering the plugin unusable

    Kind regards

    Hi there,

The select dropdown isn’t clickable at all? Or there aren’t any results within it?

Hi Tom, just updated to the 1.13 version but still with the same problem.. The select dropdown for the taxonomy is not clickable at all once the WPBakery Page builder (formerly called visual composer) is activated.

    Kind regards

    Hi Tom,

Any solution for this problem yet?

    I don’t have WPBakery, so I can’t really test.

However, their plugin shouldn’t be loading in the WPSP post type at all. I assume their scripts should only be loading where their plugin is active.

Perhaps check with their team to see if there’s something they can tweak?

This problem is still NOT resolved despite numerous updates of both plugins…

I have also brought the matter to the attention of WPBakery (Please see Wpbakery support ).

Will appreciate any help you can render as I want to make use of both plugins..

    Kind regards

Just an update on this issue for those who might be experiencing the same problem…. Following an investigation of the problem by the wpbakery team, it was discovered that the situation ONLY occurs for the super administrator. If you log in as the administrator… the plugin works well. Will update if a solution is finally discovered

    Kind regards

The WPbakery team have now pointed out that they were able to replicate the issue and it looks like a js conflict between the two plugin. They have indicated that it will require further debugging into the WP Show Posts Plugin to identify the exact code which is causing the issue. Once done, a custom js code can be written to handle the same.

If it’s a conflict, it means they have resources (javascript) loading while you’re trying to create your lists.

Since there’s no need for a page builder while you’re creating a list, their resources shouldn’t even be loading.

Perhaps they have a way to disable their plugin while in the WPSP custom post type?
