    Hi,

Just after installing Website File Changes Monitor plugin, a warning message showed up:

“The Website File Changes Monitor plugin disabled file scanning on the WP Security Audit Log plugin to avoid duplicate processes.”

Does it mean that both plugins are doing the same thing? (integrity check)?

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Roberto

Thank you for your message @robertojobet

Correct, the WP Security Audit Log plugin uses the same file integrity scanning engine that this plugin uses.

So if you have WP Security Audit Log installed on your website at the moment you do not need this plugin. However, in the near future this plugin will have much more features and it will be a fully blown file integrity monitoring plugin.

So I’d say for activity logs, stick to WP Security Audit Logs. For file changes monitoring, stick to this plugin.

I trust the above answers your questions. Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Hi Robert,

    Thanks for the feedback.

I was looking for a file integrity monitoring plugin that would do just that: file integrity monitoring!
I don’t like security plugins doing every kind of things!

The integrity monitoring feature in WP Security Audit Log, can be manually disabled?

    Regards,
    Roberto

That is why we developed this plugin @robertojobet ??

Yes, the feature in WP Security Audit Log can be disabled. In fact, as per the notification you got the plugin automatically disabled that feature for you. So there is nothing that you need to do from your end.
