WP Rocket conflict

I have the same issue as this one

I have narrowed it down to the defer js feature of wp rocket. I have tried excluding all slicknav scripts from minification and deferring but the mobile menu still does not load. I have to entirely disable the whole defer js feature to get the menu back up.

are there other dependecis I should be excluding so the mobile menu will work?
