• Hi,

I’ve had this problem for a really long time already, but lately it’s been getting worse. Whenever I use “enter” to create a white line and afterwards publish, save or update a post or page, WordPress removes that white line.
    For example, I’ll have:
    “blablabla

    yaddayaddayadda”
and WP will turn it into
    “blablabla
    yaddayaddayadda” or even “blablablayaddayaddayadda”.
It’s not systematic, though. It happens in some places, and in some places it doesn’t.
I’ve tried putting   in each spot where it happens and this used to help, but it doesn’t anymore.
This is really annoying, especially on long posts and pages where I have to go in and change everything each time I update them.

  • Do you have “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” checked in Settings -> Writing -> Formatting? I’m not sure that would cause it, but it’s the only thing I can think of other than some plugin that affects your editor or a non-standard editor.

I am curious to see what you figure out.

I actually decided to delete the TinyMCE plugin I was using and at the moment that seems to have improved things a lot. Fingers crossed!
