• Today I updated a plugin for a new version of Watermark.
I also accepted an update to the latest version of WP at the same time.
However, I can no longer access the backend of my website and am redirected to Dashboard which will not open.
    Please help.

  • Please remove the plugin through FTP and then try again. This should give you access to your backend again. If it doesn’t, please go ahead and remove other plugins as well (create a backup first).

If all your plugins are disabled/removed and you still experience this issue, please try the same with themes, by reverting to a default theme (2014, 2015, etc).

You can find your plugins in /wp-content/plugins
    and your themes in /wp-content/themes

Now you should be running a basic vanilla wordpress install, and you should definitely be able to log in to your dashboard. If this is not the case, please report here, and we take it from there.

I’ve contacted the web designer for him to hopefully fix. But will download vanilla.
    Thanks

Ok, great. If he doesn’t manage to fix it, feel free to report back here and we will try to help. If you need someone to fix this for you, you can put it on https://jobs.wordpress.net/ [ Redacted, do not request contact again in these forums ]
