    Hi,
I’m trying to improve the inclusion of my recipes on my site…

In the backend I use Yoast SEO and noticed that it fails to interpret the contents when they are added with a WPRM Recipe into post edit page…

Is there any way to help other plugins to interpret the contents of the WPRM Recipe block?

    WordPress v5.1.1
    WP Recipe Maker v4.3.4
    Yoast SEO v11

    Thanks a lot

We specifically excluded the recipe content from the Yoast analysis because it isn’t regular text and shouldn’t be interpreted like that.

This does not make any difference regarding SEO, however. Google will see the recipe and surrounding content just the same!

So I have no chance to improve my content before publishing an article…

The Yoast analysis still applies to all the text surrounding the recipe, which is exactly the part you need to optimize.

It wouldn’t give any meaningful information about the recipe part anyway because that’s not regular text. It wouldn’t see ingredients as good text, for example.

I’m not sure what you’re looking for here?

I was referring to being able to optimize summary and note fields, which have a lot of text and are totally ignored by Yoast SEO. Ok for the ingredients, it wouldn’t make sense..

Thanks anyway for your reply ??

At the moment you’d have to type that into the regular post content first to quickly check things in Yoast.
