    Hi there

    Non-technical person here.

I’m using the WP Recipe Maker plugin and the scans I’ve done haven’t picked this up.

The developer has confirmed they do set cookies when ratings are enabled (which they are) so I’m assuming this should be in my cookie policy.

Not sure if it isn’t being picked up because I don’t have the premium version or because WP Recipe Maker isn’t in your database – or perhaps both? Any how, not sure how to fix this.

    Any help appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello,

    thanks for your message.

From the section “Wizard” -> “Cookiedatabase.org” you can click the button “Synch” to check if that plugin is in the database of cookiedatabase.org (it isn’t our database though) or you can scroll down and click the button “Add service” in order to add a service manually, this way you’ll solve the issue.

Thanks for coming back to me.

I did try those options but it won’t sync with the database even if I try to add it manually. Do I need the premium version to do that?

The plugin isn’t on the database.

    Thanks

If you add the service manually it doesn’t save?

If it isn’t saved please disable your security plugin and your cache plugin and do it again or disable all the features of the cache plugin related to JS optimization, otherwise you can follow this guide to whitelist our JS https://complianz.io/javascript-delay-in-wp-rocket-and-other-caching-and-optimization-plugins/

It saves, but it doesn’t sync (I get the red arrows and !) and therefore doesn’t appear on the cookie policy.

Have you tried to check the cache and security plugins?

Yes tried the above and I still can’t get it to sync although it does appear on cookie policy now. Other services have synced fine so I don’t understand.

If now the customized services now is showing in the cookie policy it has been synched, unfortunately if it’s not in the cookiedatabase.org it cannot be automatically added with all the specific information

Okay thank you. Does that mean I have to manually add the relevant cookie after each scan? I did a re-scan and it appeared to have deleted this service from the cookie policy. So I had to write it in again.

I sent your request related to the services which keeps being deleted to the dev team, because it shouldn’t be the correct behavior.

I’ll update you as soon as I’ll have an answer!

    Thanks for the patience.

The isse has been confirmed and the dev team is working to solve it as soon as possible, I’ll let you know.

    Hello,

    thanks for your patience.

The dev team closed the task, could you please delete the website cache, do another scan and check if the issue persists?
