WP-PrintWebPage idea
-
Hi, is there a way to grab any webpage on the fly and format it for printing, without the content needing to be stored in a database first? Here’s the scenario:
A lot of users have problems printing out webpages that fit inside the normal letter or A4 paper size. A lot of times when printing a webpage, some of the page is cut-off and there’s no way to fit in the content properly.
1) I want to have a form (text box with submit button) on my site
2) Users can key in the URL of any webpage into this form
3) When they click the submit button, the webpage they had keyed into the text box is nicely formatted for printing, just like how the ‘print’ function on my website(https://prpoet.com) does it (I’m using Lester Chan’s WP-Print plugin to do this).Seems like this should be easy but I’ve been searching the web and can’t find any info on doing this. Hope an expert can advice.
Thx, PRpoet
