wp-postratings does not work with force_ssl_admin enabled

We have found that WP-Postratings does not work with force_ssl_admin enabled, since it trying to post to /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=postratings&pid=000000&rate=2&postratings_00000_nonce=<hex_code>&_=<unix_timestamp> over HTTPS.
We have not found a workaround for this, and disabling SSL in not an acceptable option.
