    Hello,

(We have a weird problem that we’ve searched for answers for 2 weeks & can’t find.)

    Problem:

We have been getting 404 Errors with (developer.creationtoday.org & newsite.developer.creationtoday.org) only when going to the Plugins page, installing a plugin, activating a plugin, and/or deactivating/deleting a plugin.

    Troubleshooting Steps:

    – We have the latest WP version 3.9.

    – We have deactivated & deleted all plugins. (But it doesn’t seem to be a plugin as the problem can’t seem to be duplicated with any one specific plugin.)

    – We’ve added a higher memory limit to the WP config file.

    – We’ve added a higher memory limit in WHM.

    – We are running the latest php version.

    – Php ini was configured.

    – We’ve cleaned out unused plugins.

    – We’ve optimized the database.

    – We’ve deleted plugins according to the WP debug reporting errors (but no significant warnings there.)

    – We switched to 2014 theme.

    – No cache plugins are activated.

    – The site bypasses CloudFlare.

    – We started a brand new WP installation (newsite.developer.creationtoday.org) & it was working fine at first but not for long.

    Problem Description:

It seems to time out after visiting the plugin page after a hard refresh in any browser. And sometimes we can’t even get to the plugins page without eventually getting a 404 error.

We have been racking our brains for 2 weeks on this issue (& we don’t know exactly when it started)… so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Vic

    Troubleshooting Update:

    – – –
Everything works like it is suppose to when downgrading to WordPress version 3.8.1
    – – –

Not sure if that helps WordPress figure out the issue but I’m sure we aren’t the only one & we will need to update eventually.

    Thanks,
    Vic

(Well in case anyone runs across this problem.)

If you using multiple WooCommerce plugins, (as of today) don’t use the WooCommerce Helper/Updater plugin. It interacts with other WooCommerce plugins at different times making it seem like other plugins were the culprit when in fact it was.

    Thanks,
    Vic
