WP Plugin – Zero Spam

I have just recently installed Zero Spam and did not change any of the settings so all comments were filtering through on my comments. I then listed the blocked APIs that I could recognise as such and the spam of these APIs were blocked. I now find that since installing the plugin none of my legitimate comments are coming through. Is there a setting that I have to activate or have I missed something and did not change settings accordingly? Please assist with this.
