WP-PageNavi – not compatible?

    I want my category result pages to show page numbers rather than Older posts and Newer posts. This Plugin apparently does this but when I follow the instructions it does not work. I contacted the author who advised me to contact you instead.

    Is WP-PageNavi compatible with your theme?

    If not, how do I change the display from Older Posts/Newer Posts to either page numbers or Next/Previous

  • I haven’t tested it but I see no reason for it not to work. You need to add the code for Pagenavi in archive.php instead of <?php the_posts_navigation(); ?>. This should be done from a child theme to be update-proof.
