    I have two questions:

    1. Will this plugin conflict with JetPack?
    2. Your plugin is asking me to:
    3. The request to write the file /srv/htdocs/wp-content/advanced-cache.php failed.
    4. Please check file and directory permissions on the file paths up to this point, and your PHP error log.
    5. 1. Please navigate, via FTP, to the folder – /srv/htdocs/wp-content 2. Edit or create a file with the name advanced-cache.php 3. Copy and paste the following lines into the file:

I have no idea how to do this. Can you provide specific instructions or a video on how to do this?

    Thank you

    Hello,

Yes, if you are using the caching feature of both plugins it will certainly cause problems and is not advisable. If you are new to FTP I would recommend watching this tutorial which shows you how to download and use an FTP client called FileZilla. There are also numerous tutorials available on Google using the search term ‘beginner FTP guide’ or similar.

You write: “I would recommend watching this tutorial which shows you how to download and use an FTP client called FileZilla.

I viewed the video and it speaks way over my understanding.

It uses terminology I am unfamiliar with and asks me to perform tasks I do not know how to perform.

You write: “There are also numerous tutorials available on Google using the search term ‘beginner FTP guide’ or similar.”

Just casting me off to do my own Google Search for information I do not understand to begin does not assist me very much.

Can’t you simply walk me through the process step-by-step?

I can give you temporary access to my WordPress account if you wish

    Thank you

We are not allowed to ask for or accept offers to access user sites (It’s a WP rule and they are very strict on this).

We can also only communicate by this forum.

First of all do you have access to cpanel or do you have FTP credentials for your site?

You will need either of these to navigate to the file.

If you could confirm if you have either of these, I will walk you through step by step.

The other alternative would be to talk to your hosting (who would have a lot less constraints on what they can and cannot do)

Great, do you have filezilla, if you do not can you install it using this guide” https://filezillapro.com/docs/v3/getting-started/how-to-install-filezilla/

Can you then locate your wp-content directory using this guide: https://xomisse.com/blog/filezilla/

Now, instead of going to themes and plugins, you will need to look for the advanced-cache.php file.

    Do you see one?
