WP on USB with XAMPP is dropping tables

  • I’m trying to get my WP install to work on a USB drive using XAMPPlite but every time I try installing it, two tables get dropped in the database: the wp_users and wp_usermeta.

    This is the exact messege I’m getting:
    The wp_users table is not okay. It is reporting the following error: Table ‘wordpress.wp_users’ doesn’t exist. WordPress will attempt to repair this table…
    Failed to repair the wp_users table. Error: Table ‘wordpress.wp_users’ doesn’t exist

    Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it?

    I had the same problems with the full version of XAMPP as well.
