WP Offload Media
-
Hello and Thank you for your plugin,
We also use “WP Offload Media” on several websites and we have encountered an issue in which if your plugin is activated different sizes of thumbnails are not created. For example:
We create a post and we put it on the “JUST IN!” category with a large photo on the front page. When the post is no longer the most recent news and it becomes a “regular” news its photo is not so prominent on the front page, the URL is broken. We, then, have to re-upload the image and assign it. Then is the post moves on to another category on the front page with a different size for its thumbnail the cycle starts again (re-uploading the image and re-assigning fixes it).
We contacted the other plugin first (https://deliciousbrains.com/wp-offload-media/) and after some investigating on their end they said:
“I had a play with Media File Renamer Auto and sure enough it is not compatible with WP Offload Media/ When it renames a file it does not change things in such a way that WP Offload Media can re-offload the new file names. Because WP Offload Media’s idea of what the filename is and the updated metadata are different then the srcset for handling the different thumbnails gets broken.”
I am wondering if, with your input, I can respond in a way that maybe they can become interested in solving the issue.
Thank you for your time!
