wp-o-authors : wrong case in directory name
-
Both wp-o-authors and Wp-o-Matic-Tags include the Wp-o-Matic folder with a modified version of the original WP-o-Matic plugin.
The main issue is the included WP-o-Matic folder uses both upper and lower case characters (“Wp-o-Matic”). That makes the plugin impossible to configure on case-sensitive filesystems (this is the case on most Linux filesystems).
Changing the folder name to lowercase (“wp-o-matic”) does not solve the issue, since there are case sensitive includes inside the source code.
The only solution then is to setup a symbolik link to leave the original (“Wp-o-Matic”) folder as is, adding the new lowercase symbolic link (“wp-o-link”) targeting to it.
Another issue concerns both plugins are ZIPped into a top folder. This is not how other plugins are packaged in most cases, making installation of the plugin specific to it.
Finally, I believe there is a copyright issue here: without a written permission of the original WP-o-Matic plugin author, one cannot use a derived work under the same name, even in the case of open source software. See the modified Firefox for Linux Debian, now shipped as Iceweasel for this reason.
