WP not opening: Ideas before trashing & rebuilding blog?

  • WP is installed on my site and was working. There are problems with the web host but this seems to be with WP. Firefox reads “waiting for https://7colorlagoon.com/blog1” but it won’t render. It is even slow to login from the ReadMe on the host’s files. Other parts of the site work.

    htaccess, index.php files look like they did when it was working.

    What else could I check before trashing the blog file (after a fresh backup) and re-installing WP for the 4th time in 6 weeks? I don’t look forward to even more hours of struggling with the WP installation.
