WP new release notification

    Hi
    I need email notification if new WP version/release is available without visiting my wordpress back office (admin panel). I saw that your plugin has notifications for many options (great) but I need only WP update notify. So, Better Notifications for WordPress is it right plugin for this or you recommend something other? I read that your plugin notify about WordPress Core Automatic Background Updates but it is not the same as for example update from 4.7.1 to 4.7.2 (this is exactly what I am interested in)?

    Generaly I can’t find solution how to get email if new WP vresion is released – Joomla inform their subscribers by email and they know that new version is released – on www.remarpro.com there is no options to get notify if new WP is released ??

    Thanks for your message.

    Yes, that is the same.

    From the documentation:
    The WordPress Core Automatic Background Updates notification is sent when WordPress auto-updates from a major release to a minor point release or a minor point release to another minor point release, e.g. 4.7 to 4.7.1 or 4.7.1 to 4.7.2, etc.

    I too would like to be notified of new releases but cannot figure out how/where to make that happen. I dont really understand the previous resolution.
