Bandwidth is is not the issue here, my host has plenty of bandwidth.

My blog is stuck at 10k impressions/day, because MySQL dies any time I get a spike of traffic. 10K/day is not a lot of traffic to me, but my host thinks a blog this size needs a dedicated server. I know a 10k/day site doesn’t need a dedicated server, that’s just crazy. My host doesn’t really seem concerned with my problem.

The reality is, more and more WordPress blogs are going to outgrow their hosting situations. I shouldn’t have to preach this!

I have too many theme customizations to switch to a WordPress.com type of environment. Ideally I think what I need is a company or individual that understands my situation, is looking forward, thinking about the future.

I need a host focused on WordPress, that can sell me xyz MySQL inserts and when I run out can sell me more. This is urgent because I’m down every time I get a spike!

Email me at [email protected] if you can sell me hosting and you know your MySQL limitations, or post your AIM/MSN/Yahoo IM. I’ll take the best offer. This just makes me angry because I just paid for a year of hosting with a large company.

Well, never mind maybe. I may try MT.

Sorry about that rant, it was a stressful day and the downtime didn’t help. Site5 shut me down, accused me of “hogging” my shared server, which turned out to be an exaggeration, at least according to my GPU consumption at MT. So with $20 I got everything moved to MT (grid-server) that day and everything was fine. If you have a busy blog MT’s file-by-file GPU (usage metric) chart is a lifesaver. I don’t work there, just a satisfied customer.
