    Hi,

I have a wp multisite with 3 subsites.

    1. example.com/ or example.com/ar main URL Spanish (no translation)
    2. example.com/es Spanish
    3. example.com/en English

Your plugin looks amazing, however by now, I need it only for linking the versions, and for hreflang tags.

With the language switcher plugin, the x-default is missing.

    The questions are:

1 If setting up the plugin could be complicated

2 I will work on a staging site, if I try it, and then disable it, will remain code in the site?

3 It will slow down the site, compared with the switcher?

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

    — With the language switcher plugin, the x-default is missing.
That is not clear. You can set the x-default tag from TP Settings –> Advanced tab.

    — I will work on a staging site, if I try it, and then disable it, will remain code in the site?
The translations are saved locally in your _trp_* tables from the database. If you will disable the plugins, those tables will remain in DB.

    — It will slow down the site, compared with the switcher?
It should not. Each language is stored in its own table and the queries are optimized and fast.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Sorry for the misunderstood. The x-default is missing from Multisite Language Switcher, which is the plugin that I am using now. That’s the main reason I want to change to TranslatePress.

    Thanks for all the info.

    Hi,

We offer the option to set the x-default tag on one of the languages you have set with TranslatePress.
