wp move issues – creating a new admin user in PHPmpadmin

i recently moved a wp power site from on server to another. now the admin user password is not working. i know that the versions of php are slightly different on both servers but have not attacked this issue by changing this.

i did attempt to change the password by using an UPDATE query to the db in phpmyadmin. this di not work. before i start changing versions of php, i would like to try to create a new admin user in phpmyadmin. does anyone know how to do this? my knowledge is limited in this area.
