Wp media upload not working

  • Hi,

    Today I noticed there is something really strange happening on my site. For some reason I’m not able to upload any media anymore.
    After uploading an image the link directs me to a “page not found”. I checked via ftp in the uploads folder and the image is there + the folder has the proper permissions (755).
    I’ve also already changed the permalink structure to default and back. I haven’t added any plugins lately but either way I’ve already tried deactivating a bunch of plugins and activating them again without success…
    The site runs on https.

    Does anybody have an idea what might be causing this?

    Could it be that wp isn’t creating the page for the uploaded content or something like that? If yes, any ideas how to resolve it? I know that the upload is being done as via ftp I can view the uploaded images…

    I just tested uploading an image while on a product page using the add media button and it worked.
    Using the upload media library however still doesn’t work.

    Any ideas?

    solved. Deactivated all plugins + theme & activated again + default permalinks and back to custom permalinks + changed permission of uploads folder & subdirectories to 750 and back to 755.
    Combination of all worked, not sure which one was the one that made the difference
