The wp.me short urls that are offered to us in the post edit page are not using the proper domain. Is it possible this somehow got mixed up/cached with the wrong domain? I’ve seen some previous threads where this has happened and it seemed like the folks at Jetpack can possibly reset this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Let’s make sure to sort it out. Could you quickly check your permalinks settings in WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks? Our records indicate /%category%/%postname%/ Is that the case?

What is your current setting? Have you recently set any redirection rules via a plugin or your server configuration file (.htaccess)?

    Thank you and speak soon!

Hello. Yes, those permalink settings are what I am seeing.

It seems like the issue is not quite as widespread as it was last week, but some posts do still have the wrong domain associated with the short URL. The wrong domain seems to be a test domain that was used when we pulled the site over to a different server for testing. I’m wondering if Jetpack considered this test URL the new actual URL.

    Hi again,

    Thank you for checking.

    Let’s try this then:

    • update your Jetpack plugin to its latest versions.
    • force a refresh of your Permalinks a good refresh. To do so, go to Settings > Permalinks in your WP Admin. Change the option, then save it, then put it back to its original settings (the one that was setup before), then save it again.
    • Clear your browser and site cache, and see if that helps! ??

If the issue persists please share two or three examples of the shortlinks that do not work correctly.

    Thank you!

    Hey @adamchlan,

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

Thanks for checking back in. The site has actually been migrated to another platform, so this is no longer an issue.
