• While I like this plugin very much, as it is really easy to use and has great free features, I wish the design would be responsive for mobile phones, as its’ stated in the description of the plugin as ‘responsive’. Any suggestions from the developer?

  • Hi @mpillajo,

Thanks for choosing WP Maintenance Mode, we’re glad you like it!

I checked this on my test instance and both the coming soon and the maintenance page are responsive, as stated in the description of the plugin – screenshot. If you encounter any issues with the plugin, please open a new topic on this page.

    Have a nice day!

Hello Lucia, this is what I wrote when I started a new topic for help:

The plug-in works beautifully on my laptop and the coming soon page for the site above displays. However, on my iphone and my husbands android it doesn’t display the right size for mobile screens. If you check the link on a mobile you’ll see what I mean. Is there a way to fix this issue?

    Thanks in advance
    Maritza

    Hey @mpillajo,

Thanks for using Wp-maintenance Mode & coming soon.

Currently, there is no option to make the background image responsive on mobile but what you could do is instead of using a background, you can create and design a responsive page using HTML and CSS with the text editor option in the plugin.

Please let me know if you still have some questions.

Thank you and have an amazing day!

    Hi @mpillajo!

The subscribe form and the coming soon announcement from your site are responsive on mobile devices. The background image can’t be responsive since it is a landscape image that has to be cropped to fit on a mobile screen that has a portrait view. If the image wouldn’t be cropped as it is, it would be extremely narrowed horizontally and it wouldn’t occupy the entire height of the mobile screen, which defeats the purpose of a background or cover image. This isn’t related to the plugin, it’s the way a background or cover image behaves on desktop vs mobile. You could try to set a different image, which wouldn’t be cropped that much, for mobile devices.

    I hope this makes sense!
