I have used this plugin on other websites in the past year and it worked great. For this website, I made sure all settings matched what I had used on other site settings. This time, even though it is activated and should show the company’s logo, it still shows a website page instead of the maintenance page I created. I have cleared cache several times, viewed on different search engines (google, firefox, internet explorer, opera). Doesn’t work on any of them. Also logged out and into WordPress several times. Even Deactivated and Activated WP Maintenance Mode plugin. Should I uninstall and reinstall it to see if that helps?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @twillie123,

As far as I see you have Endurance Page Cache installed, one of the plugins that always had problems with its cache clearing mechanism. All I can recommend is to deactivate that plugin and see what happens.
But I think my advice is not useful anymore because you’ve decided to use another plugin. ??

Where do I go in WordPress to deactive “Endurance Page Cache” plugin? How do I deactivate it? It isn’t listed in the regular plugin list.

@twillie123 If I remember correctly, that plugin is automatically installed (as a must-use plugin) and activated by your hosting company.
I think you can disable it by removing the folder/file from wp-content/mu-plugins directory, but I recommend to ask their support before you do that.

I turned Endurance Page Cache off in WordPress Settings as well as had HostGator deactivate it on their end and it broke the site. We decided to activate Endurance Page Cache again on HostGator and the WordPress site. I think your plugin needs to be updated to work with the latest version of WordPress since it worked correctly on older sites earlier this year. Do you have a suggestion of another free maintenance page that would allow us to put the company logo, address/phone, and social media in the layout?

@twillie123 I’ve tested the plugin on WordPress 5.0.2 (nginx, PHP 7.3) and it works fine: no errors, nothing broken. ??

Could you please upload the (PHP) errors logs from the time the site was not working? I would like to investigate what happened.

Do you have a suggestion of another free maintenance page that would allow us to put the company logo, address/phone, and social media in the layout?

I don’t use other maintenance plugins. But I think you can try the one developed by SeedProd.
