    Hi,

I am fairly new to WordPress, and recently the company I work for want to create a newsletter. I set this up through the Newsletter Plugin, using a newsletter email address as the sender address. This is a microsoft outlook email and has it’s own mailbox. For some reason every time I try to send the email from this sender address it does not work. It only works if I use the email address we used in the WP Mail SMTP , which we use for all of our website forms etc. I have checked the SMTP settings and the force from email box is unchecked , but the Newsletter still won’t let me send from a different address and it wont even let me set the sender name to what i want it to be. Every time I try i get this error message from WP Mail SMTP Plugin:

Heads up! The last email your site attempted to send was unsuccessful.

Email Source: Newsletter Mailer: Other SMTP SMTP Error: data not accepted.SMTP server error: DATA END command failed Detail: 5.2.252 SendAsDenied; [email protected] not allowed to send as [email protected]; STOREDRV.Submission.Exception:SendAsDeniedException.MapiExceptionSendAsDenied; Failed to process message due to a permanent exception with message [BeginDiagnosticData]Cannot submit message. 0.35250:02011310, 1.36674:0A000000, 1.61250:00000000, 1.45378:02000000, 1.44866:9F750000, 1.36674:0E000000, 1.61250:00000000, 1.45378:A4750000, 1.44866:44010000, 16.55847:99260000, 17.43559:0000000024020000000000000000000 SMTP code: 554

If anyone can please help to solve this issue i would greatly appreciate this as my company are eager to get a newsletter out there.

    Thanks. Bethany.

Hi, the Newsletter plugin is configured to send messages as “newsletter@….” while the SMTP plugin is configured to connect as “noreply@…”. Try to change the address configured on Newsletter plugin main settings to “noreply@…” and probably this is what’s needed.

Hi Stefano- but i would like the newsletter to send as newsletter@… so that this is what our subscribers see. I don’t want it to be noreply@ as I want to to be clear that its our newsletter. .

Hi, on wp mail smtp is seems you set “noreply@…” as sending account.

Hi Stefano, Is it not possible to have more than one sending account? So if i set the wp mail smtp as newsletter@ this will end up being the sender for all emails coming from my website even if they are not the newsletter i assume. Which is what we don’t want. We still use the no-reply address for automatic emails like saying thankyou when someone submits a form, we don’t that to be coming from our newsletter email.

Hi, it’s a “problem” of your SMTP provider not accepting different email addresses. You can use another SMTP, for example amazon ses, where you validate all email address you needed.
