    Hi,

I am a concern on how to setup WP mail SMTP and Gravity Form.

I am using WP Mail SMTP and Gravity Form together. I have to force “From Email” in WP Mail SMTP, otherwise admin can not receive the email submitted by user via Gravity Form. However, if I check the the “From Email” , it cause another issue that whoever submits the form, we never get the user’s email, because the “From Email” is fixed by WP mail SMTP.

For example, when user submits the form that is created by Gravity Form, actually the from email should be what the user inputs such as “[email protected]”, but now it is the fixed email that is set by WP Mail SMTP force from email check box.

I do not think it is reasonable, how to fix it?

    Thank you

    Hi @jayliwp

    Thanks for reaching out.

Please note that you should actually collect the email address of the person filling the form in the “Reply-to” field, so you can respond to the user’s email address after you receive the form notification from your website.

This is why you can determine the “From Email” in WP Mail SMTP.

For example if you had an eCommerce website and you were sending out order confirmation emails, you would want the “From Email” and “From Name” to be your email address and website name because the notification is coming “From” your website.

    I hoe this helps ??
