WP-Mail access

My WP install is on its own domain. I was checking thru log files and noticed many search engine searches looking for and accessing the wp-mail.php file. I don’t post by email, so this is not in use. However, I am curious to know what might be behind this.

Is there anything I should be aware of about the wp-mail page?
