Following your recommendation I bought RML.

    What I expected:
Republishing photos from LR with WPLR would sync with the RRML gallery. This didn’t work.

    What I did:
Published photos as a collection from LR with WPLR.
    Installed and activated RML.
    Created a folder in RML.
Moved the photos into this folder.
Added a few photos in LR and republished the collection with WPLR.

    What happend:
The republished photos appeared in the Media Library Collection instead of the respective RML gallery.

Even tried “Resync with extension”, which didn’t help either (and wouldn’t make sense).

    What’s going wrong?

If you create/publish a collection before installing RML and activating the RML extension, that will not work. You need Resync with Extension in that case, and it makes sense to use it (why not?).

I don’t understand why you have created a folder in RML then moved the photos in there. Normally you install RML, activate the extension, then create a Folder/Collection on LR. That should create it also in RML.

Check the Folders & Keywords screen in WP/LR Sync (in WordPress). This is the hierarchy WP/LR Sync knows. When you click on “Resync with extensions”, it shares it to RML API. Then it’s up to RML to “accepts it”. There are cases I think for which RML didn’t replicate those folders and collections, but I wouldn’t know why, I don’t develop RML and I don’t use it neither. If you want to browse your LR Folders and Collections with WordPress, you can also activate the option in WP/LR Sync and you will have a new filter at the top of your Media Library. That does the same thing as RML, except it’s totally build-in in WordPress and doesn’t add specific new elements to the user interface, but just a WordPress filter (which is usually enough).
